| Review: | Useless insurance I have a very bad experience with Aetna DMO - they are unbearable. The dental offices are so-so. They treat us as they do us a favor when we schedule cleaning, give us appointments in 3-4 months for cleaning, turn us away for being few minutes late. I have neglected my dental care due to this unbearable insurance. Will get rid of it as soon as possible. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Aetna DMO unbearable We purchase the Aetna Dental plan through my husband's company. They only offer the DMO and it is unbearable. On paper it looks like a good option, they seem to cover most basic needs. The fact is, for NH and most of MA you can ONLY use Aspen Dental. If you have ever been to an Aspen Dental you can understand the problem with this. They try to upsell you from the moment you walk in the door. They are dirty and I have routinely had to wait over 45 minutes after my appointment time before I was seen. They DO NOT offer pediatric denistry there and will not give you a referral unless your child has a fit in their office (and then good luck getting him/her to a dentist ever again). I have called and emailed Aetna repeatedly and was told to choose another insurer during open enrollment. They really don't care about your business or your needs. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | AETNA DENTAL REIMBURSMENT EXTREMELY LOW. MOST SPECIALISTS LOCATED ABOUT A HOUR AWAY. PLANS ROUTINELY EXCLUDE MAJOR TREATMENT BY DOWNGRADING TO 'LEAST EXPENSIVE ALTERNATIVE BENEFIT'. ANNUAL BENEFIT MAXIMUMS EXTREMELY LOW ($1000) IF YOU'RE RETIRED, BEWARE MISSING TOOTH CLAUSE, WHICH WILL EXCLUDE YOU FROM GETTING ANY TREATMENT WHICH REPLACES ANY TEETH MISSING BEFORE YOU HAD AETNA COVERAGE.
