| Review: | retired U.S. government worker Why the U.S. government allows this company to sell insurance to government workers is beyond me. They totally misrepresent the program. They told me that I should read the fine print that says they have limitations and exceptions to what they will pay and it is complex and difficult to determine what they will pay but it is determined by their board of directors. DO NOT GET THIS INSURANCE!!!! Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | no coverage I need to have my wisdom teeth pulled out and i was quoted a price of 170 dollars which was ok. Then i call today to confirm my appointment and to see if they were going to put me under for the procedure only to find out that they need to do a surgical extraction now instead of the norm and that my insurance will not cover it now. So instead of 170 they want a little over 1,000. So much for having dental insurance. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Horrible waste of money UC won't pay. They verbally state preapproved then deny any claim. They didn't pay for my crown in 2008 but now won't pay for a replacement stating I had one in 2008 and they only cover one every 5 years. If they didn't pay for it and didn't cover it 5 years ago how can they claim coverage? Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Bad, bad , bad This has to be the worst dental coverage available. They paid less than 50% of the bill (routine check-up and cleaning. Of course, if I went to one of "their" dentists the bill would be covered in full. Comments [ 1 ] |

| Review: | Terrible- Avoid! My wife called to get information. The rep was confused and it seemed she was purchasing dental insurance for me. I was on active duty (military) and there for it was activated for her. I went to the dentist and now I have to pay for the bill instead of the insurance covering it. The service doesn't help her because she is over 23 and can't get any type of orthadontic work. We can't cancel for a year. Comments [ 1 ] |

| Review: | Told wrong info I had to have 2 onlays done and called United Concordia 2 weeks prior to see if any precert etc needed to be done. Was told it covered 50% and no predetermination needed. It would be covered. I had the procedure done and now they have denied my claim after my dentist faxed in pre and post xrays and a narrative. It has been denied twice and my dentist says the procedure was medically necessary! I was told today I should have had a predetermination done. I am a state worker and this is one of the dental insurances offered. I plan to switch to the other company and plan to tell my co workers the same. It isn't right I have a $2000 bill when I did my part. I would never recommend this company. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Poor claim processing I had crown replaced few months ago. United Concordia told me my insurance would cover 50%. I submitted claim and they rejected it - they say "by mistake" I resubmitted and now it is waiting a dental advisor ("real dentist who comes in on his day off") - they say maybe it will get reviewed in 6 weeks or so.
